Adding elements
As temperatures in tropical saltwater aquariums need to be kept at relatively high levels, vital minerals and nutrients are lost simply because of evaporation. Furthermore, biological and chemical degradation processes as well as the use of protein skimmers and phosphate binders contribute to rapid depletion of bioelements. The growth of lower animals, in particular reef formers, continuously removes important elements from the salt water.
Therefore, lost minerals and trace elements need to be replenished regularly. Without exception, all fish, corals and lower animals, such as starfish, shrimps and macrophyte algae rely on a supply of macro elements and trace elements.
Our aquamarine range includes a number of different additives: From iodine and strontium to calcium and combination products, you can find the right product for your needs.
